680 CJOB AND WINNIPEG SEABEARS EXPAND PARTNERSHIP FOR 2025 SEASON

680 CJOB is thrilled to announce the renewal of its partnership with the Canadian Elite Basketball League’s (CEBL) Winnipeg Seabears for the 2025 season beginning in May. Following a successful collaboration in 2024, the station will now carry 10 of the team’s 12 home games and two exciting away broadcasts, in addition to Championship Weekend – set to be hosted in Winnipeg.

In 2024, 680 CJOB broadcasted six Seabears games featuring the station’s sports broadcaster Christian Aumell covering play-by-play, while Sports Director Kelly Moore provided colour commentary and analysis on select games.

“The Seabears have created the best fan experience in the league, and we are thrilled to bring that atmosphere directly to our listeners through the incredible play-by-play of Christian Aumell,” said CJOB Manager of Talk and Talent, Lauren McNabb. “We look forward to sharing the excitement with Manitobans through our PlayNow Winnipeg Seabears Basketball Broadcasts as we gear up for Championship Weekend!”

“We are incredibly excited to partner with CJOB to bring Winnipeg Seabears basketball to even more fans across the city and beyond,” said Winnipeg Seabears President Jason Smith. “As the premier destination for Winnipeg sports radio, with a legacy of broadcasting Jets and Bombers games, CJOB is the perfect home for our team."
