Afternoon Drive Host - Peterborough ON

Division: Peterborough Radio  

Work Status: Full Time – Union Position – 37.5 Hours/Week

Location: Peterborough, ON (Onsite)

About the Role:

100.5 Fresh Radio has an opportunity for you to be part of a dynamic on-air team as our afternoon drive host. You should be an innovative personality, a creative social media influencer, and a relentless content generator. Your show will be based in Peterborough.

Do you have the ability to make our Fresh audience “the star” while letting them get to know you? Are you plugged into the Fresh music and lifestyle? Are you a pro on the phones and aren’t afraid to mine the text line for content? Are you eager to bring the big stories of the day to life while engaging with your own experiences to our audience?

You'll be working on things like:

• Prepare and execute a tight & focused and live Afternoon Show on 100.5 Fresh Radio

• Voice commercials (radio & TV) and promos daily

• Create original audio and video content for social media; work to grow the station’s digital audience on all platforms

• Attend functions, participate in station promotions, and make live appearances on behalf of the station as required

• Voice track other shows (in-market and out-of-market) when necessary

• Daily music duties

If you have the following...we want to hear from you!

• Education in broadcasting and/or a minimum of 3 years of on-air experience

• Working knowledge of iMediaTouch, Audition Adobe, and MusicMaster

• The ability to work independently within a team dynamic

• Must be able to relate to, connect with, and engage a super served F25-54 CHR audience

• Connect with listeners on all platforms; strong skills generating original content both on-air and across all digital platforms

• Superior knowledge and experience with all social media platforms

• Valid G Class Driver’s license and a good driving record

• Participate in weekly meetings as required – including Creative, Promotions and Programming.

• Demonstrate a passion for the music we play and/or a willingness to embrace the formats.

• Any other responsibilities and/or duties as required by management.
