Maritime Broadcasting System (MBS Radio) has an exciting and rare opportunity for an afternoon personality in Charlottetown. MBS Radio is a locally owned and operated group of 24 radio stations across the Maritimes. CFCY is the heritage station on PEI, celebrating its 100th birthday this year.  Yes, we have Canada’s best beaches, golf courses and seafood. CFCY is a flagship MBS radio station and is a leading country music station in the Maritimes.

Responsibilities:

• Afternoon show hosting

• Deliver strong, fresh and compelling material daily

• Updating and monitoring social media and websites

• Extensive involvement in the community, including public appearances at charitable, community, promotional and commercial events

• Commercial voicing, voice tracking and remotes

• Assisting the team in developing and executing contests and promotions

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of full-time commercial radio experience

• A positive, out-going and can-do attitude

• A team player who is also a self-starter

• A clear understanding of what local radio is all about

• You are a leader, not a follower

• You possess a valid driver’s license

• Computer literate and fluent in social media

• Knowledge of MusicMaster and WideOrbit are assets

• Familiarity with the Maritimes is an asset
