Broadcaster To Podcaster: Matt Vettese

Matt Vettese was at Corus Barrie until last 2023. He also spent a year teaching radio & creative content at Mohawk College.

Almost immediately after a layoff due to budget cuts, Matt launched the podcast “OurSpace with Matt Vettese” where he talks to creators and musicians within the Pop Punk and Emo community. 

"Due to my podcast and online content I’ve been invited to cover festivals like All Your Friends Fest in Burl’s Creek, ON and When We Were Young in Las Vegas."

"I also started OurSpace Media to cover larger pieces of online content within the scene in addition to my podcast, like album reviews, festival coverage etc."

"The journey has been a wild ride from radio to podcasting but it’s so rewarding building a community and a brand around something you’re passionate about and created yourself."
