Announcer (Full Time) Middays – Winnipeg, MB

 

Energy 106, an award-winning brand with award-winning talent, is looking for an energetic and charismatic personality to host their show in Canada’s most competitive market on Winnipeg’s #1 Hit Music Station.

KEY REPSONSIBILITIES – What you’ll do (includes but not limited to)

·       Host a live-to-air show targeted to the station demographic.

·       Operate broadcast equipment, control board, Wide Orbit automation and editing software, FTP sites and on-air phone systems.

·       Deliver strong, fresh and compelling material.

·       Update and monitor social media sites.

·       Host local events and get involved with the communities as needed.

·       Voice over work as needed.

·       Voice track shifts as required.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS – Bring your vibe

·       Minimum of 2 years on-air experience preferred

·       Knowledge of the Top 40/CHR format

·       Experience with remotes, special events, voice tracking and excellent social media skills. 

·       Socially informed and perceptive, imaginative and creative, resourceful, up-to-date and intuitively tuned into current trends locally and nationally

·       Works well in a team environment and fosters collaboration

·       Strong production skills; proficiency with WideOrbit (or with other radio automation systems), VOX Pro (or similar DAWs)

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office

·       Experience with social media platforms and have a strategy for making them effective
