Position: Multimedia Technician, CTV Montreal

Status: Regular - Full Time

Location: Montreal, QC

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week; overtime as required

Responsibilities

Operates camera, lighting, audio and other related equipment

Write digital copy when required

Performs duties of ENG Editor

Operates portable live transmission equipment

Other duties as required

The incumbent may be asked to train in the other categories in the Multitasker job category

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of news production experience

Proven camera and editing skills.

General knowledge of local news and issues

Good knowledge of Montreal geography and surrounding areas

Skilled in the use of computers and broadcast quality control equipment

Ability to analyse and resolve problems

Ability to work independently, under stress and deadlines

Sound understanding of basic journalistic ethics

Ability to work in a team

Holds a valid driver’s license

Knowledge of English required: In the course of their duties, this person will be required to

interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on- site)
