CKDM in Dauphin, Manitoba, is looking for an outgoing individual to join our busy News and Sports department.

The type of person we’re looking for has a strong ability to present headlines that resonate,and to report on local stories in an informative, conversational, and impactful manner.

This position is perfect for a self-motivated, hard-working and eager person, who enjoys all aspects of news production and presentation.

The responsibilities include generating news and feature stories for radio, our website and social media, as well as anchoring casts.

Key attributes the successful candidate will possess, are:

-An understanding of the importance of “Local” to a community.

-Familiarity with agricultural interests is an asset.

-Familiarity with sports is an asset.

-A degree or diploma from a recognized broadcast program, or strong practical experience.

-Superior writing skills and a clean, articulate on-air delivery.

-A passion for news, and the ability to deliver it on all platforms, including web and social media.
